IVCNZ 2026

Venue

IVCNZ 2026 is hosted by the School of Computing | Te Kura Rorohiko at The University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka in Dunedin | Ōtepoti. The conference will be held at St Margaret's College, located on campus behind the historic Clocktower and Geology buildings. The University Campus is a short walk away from the city centre, Tūhura Otago Museum, and Dunedin Botanic Garden.

Ōtepoti | Dunedin

Dunedin is located on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. The city's heritage is reflected in its architecutre, notably its Victorian and Edwardian Gothic buildings. The city has world-class cultural institutions including Tūhura Otago Museum, Dunedin Public Art Gallery, and Toitū Otago Settlers Museum. The local area is rich in natural heritage as well, from albatross, penguins, and seals on the peninsula to walking tracks in the surrounding hills.

The University of Otago

The University of OTago was established in 1869 and is New Zealand's oldest university. A world-class research-led institution, Otago is also known for its vibrant campus life.

The School of Computing at Otago was recently formed with the merger of the former Departments of Comptuer Science and Information Science. The School hosts many research labs, includung Visual Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, and AI.
